Saffron as a natural dye has vivid crimson stigmas of saffron which are collected and dried for use mainly as a seasoning and coloring agent. this dye has three primary compounds: safranal, crocin, and picrocrocin. Crocin is a chemical compound and is responsible for the color of saffron.
