Cinnamon is obtained  from the genus Cinnamomum. It is commonly used as flavoring in foods. This spice has spicy and sweet taste. China and Egypt are the two main countries that this spice has growth in them for many years ago. Its history back to 2000 B.C. It has introduced to the European by Egypt.

Today the most amount of this spice imported to India. United state and Mexico are placed in the next stages. India paid 117 million dollar for purchasing cinnamon in 2020. Total market value of this spice has been 760 million dollar in 2018. Sri Lanka is the top producer and exporter of this spice in the world.

This spice has many health application including reducing the blood pressure, decreasing the blood sugar level, reduce the chance of heart attack, support the gut health and reducing the aging brain. physicians suggest that eating 1/2 teaspoon (2-4 gram) of this spice per day is good for body health.

This spice should keep in dark and dry place and stay away from sunlight. shelf life of this spice is 6 to 12 months.
