Mazafati dates

Mazafati (mozafati and Bam date; also called muzati in Balochi) is a cultivated of the palm date. It is a dark, soft, fleshy and sweet date of medium size, about 2.5–4.5 cm (1–2 in) with a relatively high moisture content of between 16-35%, varying with the time of harvest and the location of cultivation. The Harvest Season for the crop is late September until Mid- October each year. The best dates are produced in Bam city. Rotab Mazafati Bam is one of the dates products of Iran. This type of date is not considered as a dried fruit due to its high humidity. Mazafati dates have a lot of juice.

Types of Mazafati dates are offered in three forms:

1. Fresh Mazafati dates, also known as Rotab Mazafati, have a moisture about 25 to 30%.

2. Semi-dry dates that have about 20 to 25 percent moisture.

3. Dried Mazafati dates with a maximum moisture of 16%

Researchers say that eating wet dates with dairy products, such as milk, is very good for fatigue or strenuous activity. Dates contain fiber, which is very effective in reducing fat and providing protein. Recent scientific research has shown that dates are effective in relieving violence and peace of mind

The shelf life of Mazafati date is One year after the production date. Users should keep Mazafati in the Refrigerator which is cool (below 5 Centigrade) and dry with proper air ventilation.
